What made you start or brought you where you are today? Tell us your Story. What makes you a Buffalo Boss Babe?
As a child I loved photography, and always knew I wanted to be a photographer. I would take my moms disposable camera to pose and take pictures of my dolls! As a teen my dad and step mom bought me my first "real camera" to photograph their wedding with, and I never turned back. As I began taking family portraits, I noticed that the moms, more often than not, were worried about getting perfect images of their family to look back on and in turn, were usually frazzled and focused on everyone but themselves. I wanted these moms to just be able to have an experience that was their own. Something completely focused on them, and help them to shed the "mom" label that sometimes you can lose yourself in. I wanted every woman to own their beauty and not be ashamed to show it off! I slowly started photographing more and more solo women wherever I could, until one year for my birthday my mom and brother told me they were going to build me my own studio and that is where I've been ever since! I am SO passionate about empowering the women of Buffalo, and showing them that they are strong, gorgeous, Goddesses who deserve to have all of the confidence in the world.
What does being a Buffalo Boss Babe mean to you?
To me, being a Buffalo Boss Babe means supporting and empowering our community, especially our community of women. We are such an uplifting city and we are so capable of boosting each other as high as we want to go!
Who are your favorite people to follow?
I love following anyone inspirational, business-oriented & podcasts!
What are your favorite things to do in the area? Buffalo and greater WNY
FOOD!!!
Anywhere with loaded fries, good wings, and a great atmosphere and I'm there!
I LOVE just driving around listening to music, exploring new places.
Tell us about your favorite collaboration or dream collaborations?
My favorite current and on going collaboration is with the amazing Erica Newberry (@aboutfacebyerica) who does the make up and hair on the majority of my sessions. Spending that time with her before your boudoir session really eases the nerves with how fun she is!
My dream collaboration would actually be locations! I'd love to find some out of the box, really awesome locations for sessions!
If you could have coffee with anyone in the world who would it be?
My grandma, I've never met her but from what I gather, she loved photography too.
What are your hopes, dreams, goals? Big or Small?
I would love to be able to change as many women’s perceptions of themselves as possible. I'd love to be able to travel doing boudoir/glamour sessions around the world.
Tell us about your family?
My family is nothing short of amazing. I have the MOST amazing supportive mother anyone could ever ask for. Never once has she told me, or given me any indication that I couldn't do whatever I wanted to try doing, all she ever did was figure out ways to help make my dreams possible. The rest of my family is the exact same way, from my brother and uncle spending hours every day for months building me my studio, my stepmom helping paint walls and problem solve, to my nana who supports me from Florida and even talks about doing a session for herself when she visits Buffalo! I wouldn't be anywhere near the person I am today if it wasn't for each and every member of my family.
