What made you start or brought you where you are today ? Tell us your Story. What makes you a Buffalo Boss Babe?
By night, I am the founder of Bravery Beats, a coaching consultancy with a knack for helping online entrepreneurs stand out and make noise on social media. By day, I proudly serve as the Social Media Director at Telesco Creative Group, a full-service marketing and creative agency in Buffalo. (If you’re located in Buffalo and need some help, give us a call.) Prior to entering the agency side, I served as the Digital Marketing Manager at the Buffalo Niagara Partnership where I was responsible for website development, social media and content marketing. Before being promoted to Digital Marketing Manager, I worked as the Content Marketing Specialist. In this role, I successfully increased traffic to the organization’s website by over 100 percent, and increased engagement on Twitter by 115 percent through the creation of a content editorial calendar, content and social media marketing strategy. In March 2015, I was selected as one of 80 individuals to participate in Seth Godin’s Ruckusmakers workshop. This experience ignited a flame within me. I felt inspired to start helping others build their personal brands and businesses through creative, strategic digital marketing. Before working at Buffalo’s regional chamber of commerce, I worked for The Buffalo News as the Digital Project Coordinator. Throughout my time at The Buffalo News, I developed an interest in using data as a way to shape a social media marketing strategy. I also started blogging and learning more about inbound marketing. I became fascinated by the multitude of ways that blogging enabled me to connect with people all over the world; my blog became an outlet to share information and advice, and help other people solve their problems. Feeling a need to give back, in 2012 I started volunteering for The Senase Project, a nonprofit focused on eradicating poverty through community development in Ghana. Throughout my volunteership, I enabled the organization to grow its presence on social media and implemented the Sponsor A Student program, which has provided financial and emotional support to 13 students at the Akatim Village School. A graduate of the University at Buffalo‘s 3-2 program, I have my BS and MBA with a concentration in marketing. My values: bravery, authenticity/transparency, creativity, self-awareness, and honesty. My passions: vlogging on YouTube, learning about social media marketing, blogging/journaling, yoga, photography and making a ruckus.
What does being a Buffalo Boss Babe mean to you?
It means being unafraid to bring your truest version of yourself to every environment. It means being brave and showing up as your unique self. It means being generous and willing to share your expertise and knowledge to help further support and grow the Buffalo community as a whole.
Who are your favorite people to follow ?

What are your favorite things to do in the area ? Buffalo and greater WNY
I love to travel and discover new places - in Buffalo and beyond! I have Lockport on my list, as I need to try Steamworks coffee. Discovering new coffee shops (and featuring them on my YouTube channel) is definitely one of my favorite things to do. I love getting to showcase small businesses as a way to drive more awareness for them. Again, it's all about using my expertise/skill set to help expand the growth of Buffalo's small business community. I've been having a BLAST doing that through my YouTube channel!
Tell us about your favorite collaboration or dream collaborations ?
I had SO much fun featuring Sarah Marlette (@nourishthriveglow) and Ella Moyer (@thelocalsprout) on my YouTube channel. These two boss babes are DYNAMITE in the kitchen and constantly inspire me when it comes to food and recipe development.
If you could have coffee with anyone in the world who would it be?
Seth Godin
What are your hopes, dreams, goals. Big or small?
I'd love to own my own home one day; ideally a house with a porch where I can start a family. I have a goal of growing my YouTube channel to 1,000 subscribers by 2019. I also have a big goal to speak one day at the world's largest Social Media Conference, Social Media Marketing World. 2019 will be my first year as an attendee, and I'd say that my goal is to be a speaker at that event by 2024! As a small step towards that big goal, I hope to continue to speak at various clubs, organizations and universities in Buffalo! We've gotta start somewhere, right?
Tell us about your family?
My family right now is the amazing crew of individuals and businesses at 500 Seneca. That's the building that I've decided to call home and I absolutely love living there. The atrium is gorgeous and it's so neat to be surrounded by so many small businesses, like Animal Outfitters, which leads me to the fact that in the not-too-distant future, I'll definitely be adding a 4-legged friend to the family.
